silencers Of 53 Noise-Polluting 2-Wheelers Trampled With Road Roller!

Hyderabad: Traffic ACP Suman Kumar trampled and damaged the silencers of 53 noise-polluting two-wheelers in the Siddipet Traffic Police Station premises today.

Speaking on the occasion, he said a special inspection has been conducted for the last few days regarding vehicles using silencers that emit high noise. He warned that legal action will be taken against those who morph the silencers. He said when buying a vehicle, there will be a silencer as per the traffic rules, road rules and RTO rules. He said some people are deliberately changing the silencers and increasing the noise pollution and creating panic among the people.

He revealed that a special drive has been conducted in the last few days to remove the silencers of 53 vehicles as per the orders of the Police Commissioner and silencers that are in accordance with traffic rules and road rules have been purchased and fitted by the vehicle owners. He said 53 silencers were damaged by being crushed with a road roller in the premises of the Traffic Police Station today. ACP Suman Kumar warned that if anyone installs a silencer that causes noise pollution again, cases will be registered as per the law and the vehicle owners concerned will be sent to jail.

He advised every vehicle owner to drive vehicles by following traffic rules and road rules. He advised parents not to give vehicles to minor children. And he said they should not drive vehicles after consuming alcohol. He said some people, especially youths, are doing bike rides in the evenings on Komati Cheruvu, Eggbal Minar, Nasarapura, Ranganayaka Sagar Project, Siddipet Rural Police Station bypass roads and special surveillance has been established against them.
